The Australian government is currently developing WSA to become Australia’s largest international airport.
The Waterhouse Group is developing an agribusiness SmartPark bordering the WSA edge technology and practices for seamless food production, food processing, packaging and air freight for value-added food export.
The Waterhouse Group strongly supports the Government’s vision for the WSA Agribusiness Precinct and believes the Agri-Port will grow the NSW Economy. In 2017, Australia’s trade with the region grew by nearly ten per cent from 2016, reaching more than $100 billion; this trade increase includes strong demand for nutritious, protein rich, bespoke and healthy food products. With increasing demand for fresh food from both domestic and overseas markets, an Agri-Port could transform fresh food production in NSW and create 2,500 new direct and 12,000 indirect jobs, with up to 96,000 tonnes of additional fresh food production. This could generate $2.8 billion in revenue over a 10-year period.
